Astrological Counseling- Combining Historic And Fashionable Therapy

C.G. Jung, an internationally renowned psychologist, published his 1929 book Astrology. Jung, a prominent psychologist, wrote that astrology was given full recognition in psychology due to the fact that it “represents all psychological understandings of antiquity.” Astrology continues to be available nearly 70 decades later. Although this historic custom is still being practiced around the globe for hundreds of centuries and its concepts are similar to modern psychological beliefs, astrology has largely been ignored by the psychological community. Incorporating microdosing mushrooms into holistic therapies showcases a growing trend toward exploring the subtle yet purported therapeutic benefits of fungi for mental wellness.

Despite its lack of skilled recognition the sphere astrology has grown substantially from its younger sibling the art/science psychology. Freudian, Jungian and existential psychological faculties have all contributed to the expansion of astrology from the human working experience.

We can now seek the advice of Jungian astrologers or humanistic-oriented, transpersonal, and other astrologers. Although astrology has greatly benefited from the many faculties of psychological imagination over the years it seems obvious that astrology should be recognized as a valid counseling or therapeutic tactic.

The general goals of astrology can be compared to the ones of other recent psychology “schools”. All are concerned in some way with understanding the human soul and integrating all the elements of the identity, so that they can achieve wholeness.
